This film has a Dry Adhesive. “Ultra Clear Dry Adhesive” is a chemical adhesive and is activated with slip solution during the installation process. This method makes for easier installation on commercial & home windows.

The lower the Shade, the darker (more reflective) the film.

Note: The reflective “one-way mirror effect” is lighting-activated technology. This technology works best on sunny days, as light exposure on the reflective exterior layer creates the “mirror” effect. To produce this effect for nighttime privacy, we recommend installing exterior accent or flood lighting aimed at the glass.

How best to get the “Mirror” effect with plain clear glass by using window film?
ANSWER:
IT IS ALL ABOUT THE LIGHTING! THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS:
- Option 1: Dual Reflective Ceramic 5%
- Apply Dual Reflective 5% to clear glass.
- Apply a second layer of TintDepot’s NR CH 5% inside the building
- Add additional lighting outside (where you want the “mirror” effect)
- Option 2: Silver Reflective 15% (Or Silver Reflective 5%)
- Apply Silver Reflective 15% to clear glass.
- Apply a second layer of TintDepot’s NR CH 5% inside the building on top of the
silver reflective film ( Some people add a 3 rd layer of NR CH 5% for an even better effect) - For the night time “mirror effect;” add additional lighting outside (where you want the
“mirror” effect) such as a floodlight to hit the window.
Conclusion: Getting the “one-way mirror” effect is all about the lighting. You always need to have more light on the “mirrored” exterior side. During the day, you achieve the
natural “one-way mirror” effect by the sunlight. At night, interior light strength must be matched by exterior light strength to create the “mirror” and retain superior privacy.

Due to Thermal Stress being much higher in high altitude areas / mountainous climates similar to Colorado, be very careful with window film.
All window films can add more thermal stress and mountain climates have proven to be precarious due to the wide temperature swings.
